A Digitalize Smart Lift Monitoring System for Elderly Persons and Persons with Disabilities

A solution for elderly persons to keep away from lift entrapment and shorten the lift waiting time in lift lobbies, through getting lift information from a mobile app.

Journey begins

Through collaborating with EMSD, we jointly developed the "Smart Lift Monitoring System 1.0". Based on the previous achievements, we plan to optimize the existing monitoring strategy and release a brand-new mobile solution at this stage. This will enable not only the property managers or lift contractors, but also the passengers (particularly the elderly, disabled person with mobility problems and the caregivers) to be aware of the operational status and potential risks of their daily riding lifts at anytime and anywhere, thus guaranteeing the safer and more efficient travel.

The 2nd generation of “Smart Lift Monitoring System” is featured by: Non-intrusive installation; Plug in and play; Low cost; Dedicated AI technology for lift diagnostics; and Customized and Scalable.

Trial Application

So far, the system has been put on trial in over 30 lifts in Hong Kong, including the Government institutes, hospitals and residential buildings.

Pilot Trial

Pilot trial has been completed with Hing Wah Estate via Electrical and Mechanical Services Department in November. Co-founder: “Early detection of abnormal signals of the lift helps secure the users’ safety.”
